My question has always been this:

Is it better to use an i-Phone as the backstop behind an Android phone, or vice-versa?

Now that the latest i-Phone is made of titanium, what option presents the best chance of destroying BOTH?

Ah, you noticed that too. I've said it frequently for many years: If ANY other company besides Apple did HALF the bone-headed things that they do, they would literally be LAUGHED out of business. But - because it's Apple - its a Good Thing (tm). Its a religion, not a company. Many years ago, I worked for a company that was running a similar "religion" - guess what? They got laughed out of business! Anybody who questioned the Sacred Doctrine quickly found themselves on the outside looking in. The rest of us kept our heads down until we could find employment elsewhere. The two high priests of this religion were finally ousted by the BOD, but by then it was too late. I got out about 18 months before the final collapse.

I don't have a dog in the Apple vs. Google fight, as I wouldn't be caught dead with a smartphone of any kind. However, when it comes to Apple vs. Microsoft, I've said the same thing for decades now: "I have the same agreement with them both; They keep doing stupid poop, and I keep cussing at them." I've run Macs since about Y2K, I'm done with them, and Microsoft isn't a choice either - so I'll be returning to Linux after a 25+ year absence. I'll have to do my own support (again), but I won't have to deal with either of the "big two" decontenting, filling with spyware, and smartphone-ization of my computer.

Apple has done me well over the years. Very well in the stock market - like retire five years earlier than planned well.
