Thanks.....this one is a keeper.
I definitely have different categories of what I accumulate.

This is one I want the kids to get......
My son took his first pheasant with a fox.

I just got the card for it.

No surprise the barrels were shortened on it.
The big surprises are who it shipped to.
That it probably is the original straight stock as well.
Some big pluses with the receiver being in great shape.

I think you need to do some more research, get that appraised.

Very impressive score. I have a soft spot for well made, good looking doubles and that one certainly fits the bill......

How does it handle?

Far better than I expected.
With the butt only being checkered wood combined with a straight stock.
I expected a bit of cheek battering .

I don't know if it's the thick comb or something else but pleasant to shoot it was.

I even killed more snow

Only ever seen one Fox shotgun here in England. It seemed to have a nice style to it. Sadly it was not for sale otherwise I might have been tempted. Don't see many American doubles but here is an L.C.Smith 'Featherweight Field' model I once came across. I owned it for a while but sold it on. Made in 1939 according to the serial number.

Dusting clays now.....yes it murders them.
My nieces son came down to rabbit hunt in the afternoon
We killed some time with it beforehand.
