As somewhat of a side note I want to thank Wambli for being very generous with his ammo stash and collection on the outing! I've been on the road for a few months and thusly without my usual compliment, and my friend is a fairly new shooter (hobby wise anyway). It was a ton of fun doing some good old plinking with the classics.
There is the unintended side effect: I may find myself moving a lever action .45-70 up on my list!

45-70 in just about any platform is just an infectious chambering. Once you get a taste, you just can't stop. Looks like a great time was had by all.
Might just have to start looking at airfare. Never had any interest in "The Strip" but where you boys went looks pretty cool.

I would have gladly burned all the ammo I own and carted a trailer full of guns to hang with you and Jon! Quality time with good people need to be treasuredshotgunshooter3 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 11:17 pm As somewhat of a side note I want to thank Wambli for being very generous with his ammo stash and collection on the outing! The strip is an infinitesimal part of Las Vegas. We were not even 15 miles from the casinos as the bird flies, so you get on down here and bring that Elk creek fella with you. I’m long overdue for a big hug from both of’ya brothers!sakodude wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 12:22 am 45-70 in just about any platform is just an infectious chambering.
