I hate "Drain" plumbing repairs a LOT more than supply side

It was drain. It took me all day but I finally got it done.
I had to install a laundry tub/sink for our new washer to discharge in. This new washer pumps out so much faster that it was overwhelming the original drain.

At least it was gray water plumbing instead of brown

Gas valve on the furnace crapped out. Not a DIY kind of thing. Should only cost one kidney.

Pffft.
Unscrew old one. Screw in new one.

I'll just use a piece of aquarium hose to adjust the valve to 4'' of water column......

I watched many Youtubes video's. All were prefaced with, "We don't recommend you do this, but here is how we do it. If you die we aren't responsible."

Rebuilding my meat grinder.
Got this gearbox/motor combo for free ninety nine.
Motor was bad.
Robbed the motor shaft, designed a printed housing to hold it. Will be powered by the De-Wilt drill, but can be run from a cordless drill also.
Not done, and those are a couple different revisions, so nothing you see is final.

That’s quite a neat meat grinder. Maybe Dewalt will put it in the product line? I might be tempted if it was compatible with my batteries. Or like the tv ads for the portables smoothie blender we could see one of those cute spokesmodels chuck a rabbit in one poolside

I cant remember who it was on the old forum that posted a reply to Chris's meat grinder and only said,
"Your machine terrifies me."

And it should! Any reasonable person would avoid it. Even when sitting still.

Nine hour road trip this past weekend to southern Tennessee. Youngest stepson got married. Venue was right on the Hiwassee River. Very nice area. Everything went smoothly. They asked everyone to not take pics with their phones...... so I didn't take any. I wasn't even allowed to bring a fishing pole
We rented a nearby cabin for the weekend. It was a dump. It was (poorly) cut into the side of a hill. They didn't even clean up any of the fall leaves so you couldn't tell where the driveway was. Just looked up this pic. Didn't even know you were to park at 'X'. We followed the arrow in and out.....

The drive to the cabins was steep, and washboarded with ruts. Luckily we were in my wife's Range Rover. 1/3 of the way up that drive was the drive to our cabin. The leaves were wet and slippery and we needed all four wheels gripping. We were driving other guest's up the hill to their cabins. My middle stepsons Chrysler 300 did better than the other guests FWD Suv's and mini-vans. It has a true independent rear suspension that stayed connected to the road going over the ruts. The other vehicles had so much tire bounce that they lost traction. He at least made it up the hill to where our cabin drive started. It couldn't do anything on the leaves however. Trying to walk to the stairs we were slip sliding all over. The leaves also covered up the many large rocks sticking up causing a trip hazard.
On the way down, the stretch of I-70 from Cambridge to Columbus looked like a massacre had taken place. Semi's vs lovestruck bucks are a lopsided contest. Every mile was another gruesome scene of blood and guts. We saw a few roadkill on I-75 thru Kentucky and Tennessee but I-70 was 50-1 the carnage leader.

Spent ALL day putting a DRO on my milling machine and I really wish I had done so years ago. No more setting indicators, no more backlash... It'll really speed up jobs on the mill now.

I don’t think I told you so, but I was damn sure thinking it.
