I want to thank Zee and his friends Larry and Aaron for hosting us last weekend. Then there is Joe.... since the first time we ever met, hanging out with him is always a great time. For some reason, I still can't get this giant grin off my face. I had an awesome time!

Ernie is here now. We sighted in his handgun/thermal and then tested it at 300 yards on steel. One shot and ping!! We are ready to go!

Oh, and we had to start the hunt with the required good luck process. Grabbing the bull by the balls. It’s a required step towards a good hunt. All non-hackers need not apply.

Dude! Aside from the extremely high compliments that my kids gave your photos.... the one thing they all said was, "Dad, you look so happy!"

Upgraded my phone mount for my
Tripod. As type this I wonder if I already posted about it. Oh well.
I connect my thermal to my phone so I can watch the screen instead of being glued to the scope.

Ernie came to Texas! It’s been a couple years since his last visit and since then, we both have new toys.
For the week, I ran an AR-15 in .223 Rem with a Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 Pro. I had two profiles in the scope for two loads. One, a 62gr Speer GD for medium game and a 55gr Remington HP for Varmints.
Ernie was running an HS Specialty Pistol in 6mm Creedmoor and 108gr ELd-Match. His scope was the same as mine but with the LRF feature as well.

Zee could start his own......

So fun to use a clone XP-100 and a thermal scope.
First time with a specialty pistol at night-Love It!
Even though it is harder for sure than a rifle at night
