I like to shoot golf balls out of the air at the driving range...
Ha!
On one of the backroads I drive when I head out duckshooting a model aeroplane club has leased a farmers roadside paddock, roled it flat and keep it mowed.
Everytime they are having a flying day and I drive past with the 1187 in the truck I have to resist the urge to slam the brakes on, jump out while feeding shells into the remington and seeing how many I can bring down...........

It goes without saying that should an event like that take place, one essential requirement will be video.......

This has gotten really good! There are some things you should really try at least once!
I've always wanted to touch off one of those little cannons!
I tried to hit a golf ball with a driver once, after the third miss the club went in the water.
I'd like to throw a tomahawk, at least it won't go far when I miss.
I helped my son build a tribuchet that could launch a 16 oz beer can for 150 feet with a really high arch. That was a blast! "Geme that beer and watch this!" It was supposed to be his school project. We gave it to a bunch of sword swinging knights, think of the Renaissance Fair.
There was a guy in Washington state that made a cannon that shoots beer bottles. He's now doing 2 years in club Fed because the ATF said he made a destructive device. True story.

The fool had a big mouth! How else would folks find out he made a cannon? Is there a law about owning a toy cannon? There are a lot of reenactors out there.
I had Machine I as a freshman and Machine II as a senior. Another kid in my Sr class made a 50% size Napoleon cannon with a 36ish'' barrel with a 1'' bore. He even made a mold to make 1'' round balls. Quite a few people made pop can mortars.

There’s more to that story. Cannons aren’t illegal.
I read the article. I'll try to find it again. I thought maybe it was breach loading but that wasn't mentioned. Maybe it was argued that it wasn't period correct. I don't know.

Aren't potato guns illegal?
The cops narced him out when they did a welfare check on his mom. Oh, and the feds said they did him a favor by only giving him 2 years because his mom didn't have a caretaker.
I mean, they put two guys in federal prison for selling pieces of sheet metal with a picture on it (auto keycard.) They do what they want. I'll take the cowards way out before I get caged for something that didn't victimize anybody.
