Ha! My wife just said she needed half a cup of one of my Bourbons for a ham glaze for Easter and I told her “Over my dead body!!!”
She said, “It’s for Jesus’s resurrection celebration!”
I said put a bottle of water on the counter and ask for a miracle. If Jesus wants a Bourbon glaze on the ham he will provide.”

Funny 4 Roses was considered wino whiskey when I was in college. Apparently it’s a very old brand with great history and they were awesome at one time then the company was bought out and they really declined in quality/price when American whiskeys had a big decline in popularity and then they got bought again and they’re a premium brand now. Just had a tumbler of the stuff a few months ago in a REALLY nice bar in California overlooking the Pacific. I was shocked to see the bottle so I asked the bartender, told him about my college experience with the stuff, and he told me the story and served me a free double to try it out. It had 4 more

My dad liked Amphora brand pipe tobacco, they punted on American sales after one of the rounds of tobacco lawsuits, it is still available in Europe, Green pouch was awesome, Red/Maroon pouch was good, if you can get a pouch of Green , try it.

I was a pipe smoker until about 4 years ago. I smoked good tobacco, flake. Until my daughter told me it smoked up the house so much and left an unpleasant odor for my grandkids'. So I quit.
Pipe smoking, if you're serious about it, is kind of a lifestyle. It doesn't comprise for attention. Same with cigars.
