Too many roofing nails, concrete nails, sheet metal screws and drywall screws (everything BUT deck screws). Plus it's too close to the house. I'd have to drag all that crap to the back of the yard and I have dogs. I'd be plugging tires in my tractor for years. Trust me, I considered it.

4' prybar
Deck board removal tool
Chainsaw
Sawzall
Child labor
Tractor
Plenty of sweat and cursing the previous homeowner.

I absolutely hate that I'm going to have to dig up the ornamental grass bushes (because they're in there real good). I've always despised those stupid things but got most of them cut with an electric hedge trimmer until I gassed out today. I'll be getting a dumpster soon but have no idea what size I need. The backyard grew quite a bit.

30 yard, but it fills quicker than you think. Lay it in there flat or it won't fit

Get one of these. They’re not expensive. And has a telescopic handle. I bought this one when I had a new roof put on. The roofer was supposed to have run a magnet over the ground but I still picked up a BUNCH of nails.

I'm still amazed that my son and I did all of this. 1600sq ft of deck, minus the diameter of the 30' foot but add the huge gazebo. We ended up getting an 18 cubic yard dumpster and played tetris getting almost all of it to fit. The rest is burning as we speak. We're going to make a front end loader (hydraulic) for the garden tractor to grade the yard and pull up what posts remain. We put a new clutch in it last night and I'm glad we did because we were pulling up big roots and everything else with it today. BTW, there's a special place in hell for people that plant 28 ornamental grass bushes to hide a deck. I got most of them up.

Most problems of this nature can be corrected with an adequate charge of high explosive

Ironically I had considered that. Sulfur sensitizes tannerite enough for a firecracker to detonate it. Had it not been so close to the house, I would have done it 🤣

And you could have blamed it on a gas pocket that the previous owners Jerry rigging created

Now all you need is a wooden fence so you don't have to look at the neighbor

I should have just leaned all of the decking wood against the chain link fence. Instant privacy fence lol.

I was thinking that but didn't dare suggest it! You might have done it.
