Consume less calories than you burn, you lose weight. Consume the same amount you burn, you stay steady. Consume more than you burn, you gain weight.

It’s FAR easier to consume more than you burn. A large Starbucks foo foo coffee drink is north of 600 calories. That’s damn near a third of what most peoples caloric requirements are. Add in a donut, some pizza, pasta, etc, and all of the sudden you’re a fatass.

ALL you have to do is consume less calories than you burn to lose weight. Does that mean you have to run three miles a day? No. It means you have to consume less calories than you burn. Running just adds to…what you burned. So you could eat more if you ran three miles.
It’s really that simple. It’s the mental game that people struggle with. They make it out to be complicated. But it’s not. It’s only a matter of beating the mental game. That’s what’s tough. Been there, done that, currently doing that. I lost 35, but gained 10 back. Why? Because I started eating like a retard again. Why did I do that? I’m retarded. Between deer season and the holidays I used that as an excuse to pig out. Now it’s essentially back to square one with the mental game.
And that is basically how I lost MY weight. Stopped eating crap and increase my working out. Next thing I knew I had dropped 35 lbs. Not easy but very doable.

But my wife, God bless her, tried everything and it was outright painful to watch her lower her food consumption to what I thought were unhealthy levels and work out every day and still manage to lose almost no weight and then as soon as she went back to a norma healthy diet, she would put on weight for no god reason at all. Only person I know that could increase her weight eating salads. It took a loooooong time to find a doctor that nailed her issues including a thyroid condition and Insulin resistance, some of it probably a by product of her cancer treatments. As far as I'm concerned this dude saved her life, and she looks hot as hell in those tight jeans again :D

Although that is true for most people, it's not exactly that easy as a type 1 diabetic trying to fill in for a faulty pancreas. I survive on carbs and sugars and often times need copious amounts of insulin from day to day. It sucks still, although I've been doing this since the age of 2. I even did a calorie deficit diet. I was consuming less calories than the human body supposedly uses just existing as if you did nothing but lay around in bed all day scratching your sack. Didn't lose a pound. And it's also pretty disheartening to have your blood sugar plummet in the middle of the night and you end up eating half of the kitchen just trying to stay alive.

I'm not sure why the hell those things aren't happening now that I'm on this drug, but I'm not going to complain. (Probably got to do with it being a diabetic drug 😆)
