That’s freaking outstanding!!!

Yeah. . .that's one to watch, as it will effectively wipe out state bans, rosters, etc..., with regards to acquisition.

Notice the media silence on these! They don’t want to energize the 2A folks before the mid-terms but showing them the steady wins/progress and they don’t want to force their communist candidates to take on the still VERY unpopular anti-gun rhetoric.

I tell myself the high gas prices are payment for gun rights being restored/expanded. Not keeping the sand people from having nuke you lur weapons, because they were going to have those in the next few months for the last 30 years, which didn’t happen.
Why do I say that? It’s midterms. People are pissed at all the “winning” going on in the Middle East. Have to give us something to be happy about. I mean, it could have been done in the “first week, maybe the first day”, but then there’s no dangling mid-term carrot.
All of this is a win, just as long as everyone remembers we are all being played.

And I agree with you somewhat. But I have a fear of why things are going so slow in the middle east. Know how they keep mentioning shortage of missiles and bombs? They want to blame it all on Biden. If you read beyond the first hyperbole when you look it up it says something loke No Biden didn't order the halt to manufacturing blah blah but, shortage of funding and rerouting money to other programs significantly slowed production. You can't make a air to surface or cruise missile overnight. The administration said im getting credit fir getting us out of the middle east NOW. Munitions, equipment, and allies were left behind. Military were killed but yup we got out. If they tell us the things we left behind what actually was there should scare the hell out of us. Military needs two things to win. In short, beans and bullets. Without one they fail. If a mission calls for 135 cruise missiles and the Ordinance guys say Sir we only have 85, they send them but not enough. Next month we have 90 more more but still not 135. Same with air to surface missiles. I dont think we can play catch up and complete missions at the same time. Our last Sec Def and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs should be held accountable it started on their watch. Re: Musings on the Latest SCOTUS / 2A Activities
That very well could be the reason for all this winning. I’d hate to think we have been caught with our pants down with not enough bombs to fend off some third world S hole. But, Id also hate to think we’d be dumb enough to leave a whole bunch of equipment and munitions in a third world S hole that the inhabitants of said S hole could use against their neighbors or us. #sarcasmDiver43 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 5:56 pmAnd I agree with you somewhat. But, it doesn’t change why I think gun rights have all of the sudden become VERY important. It seems they aren’t important, except for election time. Again, it’s a dangling carrot. If they fix the problem, then there’s no problem that needs fixed.

Most consequential election to date...
Odd how they keep stacking up year after year.
Oh well, I'm sure after this one they'll pass the hearing protection act, national concealed carry, and get around to repealing the NFA...

Seems we’re winning those in the courts by declaring bits unconstitutional one slice at a time which is way more solid than poorly written law. I’ll almost bet even national concealed carry will just end up in court in time.breamfisher wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 7:43 pm Most consequential election to date...

Re: Musings on the Latest SCOTUS / 2A Activities
Pretty annoying that we have the attention span of gnats and get all worked up about short term frustrations that become the talking points of a two-year election cycle. . .at the cost of focusing on constitutionally-guaranteed rights that shouldn't have even been a talking point since 1791. At the same time, we're attempting to bomb out a culture that thinks in thousand-year solutions.CPJ 2.0 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 4:19 pm I tell myself the high gas prices are payment for gun rights being restored/expanded. More annoying still, the sand people have been a problem for us since AT LEAST the early 1970's. It's not like we can pin those difficulties on any particular administration. . .yet somehow we manage it. Dubya kinda screwed the pooch IMO with the 9/11-inspired GWAT - - we had the national will to go on a WW2-scale war footing that would have allowed us to be OK with telling Ford and GM to stop making cars and start making cruise missiles, but nope; "Y'all just keep going to the mall and my buddies in the military-industrial complex will take care of it all".
SCOTUS, at least, is somewhat removed from that two-year election cycle, and the current gun rights movements should be thought of in terms of establishing some constitutional consistency throughout the 50 states. . .though I shudder to think what the picture will look like if the House and/or Senate flip and the national gnatlike attention shifts again.
Dangling carrots - you're not wrong.

Minor correction, the sand people have been a problem since the sand people were created.

Dangling carrots is the only way ANY party can win elections because most voters on either side all want to hear what will you do for ME NOW. Strategic long term thinking and understanding geopolitics, economics and global markets is well beyond the IQ range of most. So they offer cheap housing, low cost gas and eggs and free schooling, etc. but voters don’t get these things gs all require painful adjustments that take time.
Focus on gas and you’ll forget record markets, lowest poverty rate at historic low volumes, historic lows in violent crime, trillions in investment in long term intrastate manufacturing, energy independence…

And don’t forget the offer 5 grand if they win. That’s a good one.

Yep, we had it, then we lost it. BTW Energy independence has nothing to do with the price of gas. All it means is that you’re a net exporter. The whole gas thing is based on a worldwide market, quite frankly one of the worst decisions ever made.

The Catholic Church REALLY needs to stay the fudge in their lane. Or maybe we should start taxing those righteous dollar bills? While we are at it, let’s make sure the pope isn’t protected by any weapons of war or other scary guns. Have his guard armed with spears and bows.

Well I do remember when Biden started autopenning those executive orders on day one cancelling oil leases and pipelines, they came back and rewrote them months later to make sure they couldn't be changed easily.

I keep thinking… How is that any worse than them promising free healthcare, free college (and forgiving student loans), restitutions to blacks that were never victims of slavery, amnesty/citizenship to all illegals, government run food stores, and all the other “benefits” Democrats hang in front of their fan base?
Re: Musings on the Latest SCOTUS / 2A Activities
So is this justification by comparison, or an epiphany that they are all the same?Wambli Ska wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2026 1:25 amI keep thinking… How is that any worse than them promising free healthcare, free college (and forgiving student loans), restitutions to blacks that were never victims of slavery, amnesty/citizenship to all illegals, government run food stores, and all the other “benefits” Democrats hang in front of their fan base?
Now before anyone gets me wrong, I’ll take that five large in a heartbeat! May as well, I’ve worked my ass off and it’s time for my kids and grandkids to suffer the rest of their lives with insurmountable national debt!
Of course, I expect to get this 5 grand right after the DOGE checks and tariff checks. I figure those should hit my account any day now.

Just putting things in perspective. If we’re shedding a light on one let’s do it fairly on all. Democrats have been blatantly buying votes for decades.
At the end of the day none of it means anything to me. I don’t need the 5k, or free schooling, or government supermarkets. I’ve worked my ass off so I don’t have to vote for handouts for myself and my family and can look at results objectively.

I was a broke butt for a long time and I still don't have much but, what I have, I earned. There were no hand outs. We paid for my wife's education and because she'a a teacher it's hard to say it paid off financially but, she's happy. Obama Care has all but destroyed our medical care system. I saw criminals getting out of jail, geting better medical care than I could have dreamed of. I can't imagine "Medicare for All".
As for reporations, if they want to go on that road they should start with the Native Americans, Hawiians and so many others. Talk about buying a vote.
I pray America doesn't go down the socialist road. It is a path we would never recover from. Thankfully still have a three part system and that should stem the tide. We as a nation can survive an idiot president for four years until the left come to their senses.
As for your Catholic rant, get over it. The bishops are citizens of this counrty and have the right to an opinion just the same as anybody else or group. I disagree with the far left, they disagree with me! That's a good thing. The bishop's case is illogical and has many holes in it but, they are following their most basic principle, preservation of life. That includes the unborn, sick, terminally ill and criminal. I can't say I agree with everything the Catholic Church professes but they do preach the "Right of Consicense". Oh, and by the way, the bishops wrote the breif, not the pope.
As for the historical rant, do you hold the German people accountable for Hitler today? The Japanese for Pearl Harbor? It was the southern states that promoted slavery, should they pay reporations? My great grandfather and and great uncle fought for the north. Every man, country, religion and systen makes it's mistakes. You can't judge history through today's filters. Another modern day mistake! Move on.
Re: Musings on the Latest SCOTUS / 2A Activities
Don’t think there’s any light that needs shed on dems buying votes.
But looking at this *objectively, saying “we will give you 5 grand if we win” is BLATANTLY buying votes.
Same coin, (just not a penny, which I am HAPPY to see discontinued) different side.
