Also- for the long timers:
Anyone have photos for NYGunowner or Gunnyragg?
Was NyGunowner the guy that had a cast bullet business. Also IIRC he was diagnosed with some type of cancer.

He also patented (I think) some parts to modify a lever action to cycle those rounds. For the CASS crowd IIRC.

Howa Hinter was Stephen Diaz. Super good guy. Offered me up a place to stay when I was going through my divorce.
Yup that was Steve, not me, I'm still here. Kinda bittersweet looking at this thread for the first time, it was 4th of July that we reported him missing and that was the beginning of the end. He passed in August of 2016. I will have to search through FB for a photo or from around the house, i can't find any on my phone. I loved the guy but i sure didn't like him much, especially the last 5 or 6 years he was still here. I'll see start i can dig up and post them

Steve on the right. I think this was about 2007-2008 when our grandfather passed. It was the first time in years the whole family had been together. My mom sister, along with a much thinner, less gray and less beard-y moi

More sad news today; Jim Scoutten has gone on as well. He was a member on the old forum for a time, and was another fine gentleman.

Are there any here from the old original Florida Sportsman forum?
If so, a dear member and friend passed late last year.. Michael SnookMook or Mookie Wilson
He was a writer for the Lakeland newspaper, baseball fan and fishing fool. He enjoyed good scotch.
If you guys knew him you’d miss him.

I don’t know if you remember Capt Stan. My cousin by marriage. He crossed over from FS to here for a while but Dan started giving him crap for the size of his pictures (we had a 1000p limit back then) and I think he had some words with him on PM so he never came back.
He’s doing great, retired from the ARMY and now he hunts and fishes around coastal Geo’gia pretty much every day.

You were Fishhawk? I remember that name.
Do you remember the guy from Sunny Isles? Talked catching snook all the time and lobster, snagging them in a mop instead of bully net at night with lights in the bay.

Never met Mike, but spoke with him by phone. Always planned to visit when I was in the US but the stars didnt align.
Your 'Bucket' story was one of the funniest tales I have ever read. Both you and Scootertrash were instrumental in making me fall in love with the 204 Ruger.
Rest in Peace my friend.
