Im not sure that I know exactly what you mean but I just tried them in my shop. Fired 2 rounds and they work fantastic.

Ah, I see. I actually watched a video about that the other day and a guy was testing all of the ways that chain fires happen. It was obvious after his testing that they never happen at the rear of the cylinder. It's always the front.

OK, I am not familiar with cap and ball revolvers, I was worried about chain fires , I assume gasses don't come back through the nipple?

Even metal caps are basically obliterated during firing. There’s really no danger from using plastic if anything it would probably be safer so that you are not spitting out little pieces of metal.

That is pretty cool. Never thought about using 3D printing for that

The best part….hes using a robot to do his work.

Yep, and they split almost identical to regular percussion caps. I'm pleasantly surprised with how well they work because it's just my luck to get into a hobby that is missing a major component to make it work , and there is the gratification of letting a robot do my dirty work.

Practice blade is in the easy bake oven. Doesn’t seem to be to hard to apply. Stupid easy, really.
The trick is not touching it and getting it into the oven.
The good thing if you do touch it (before you heat it) you just blow it off with the air gun and start over.
