We had an amazing time. Awesome. When I heard about the 6ARC, I ordered a cheap barrel and BCG. Parts arrived, I built an upper the night before I left. Jerm stopped by, I sent a lower with him. We accuracy tested my new 6ARC, it was one of the better ones, at .75" or so.
My thermal lives on an AR10, so I took that, too. Jerm picked me up at the airport, I was hunting an hour later!

Quick summation of my take-away:

-The SJS continues to be a Bad-Assg roup of guys.
-Jay is a death ray with his 6ARC Howa and .20 Practical.
-Jerm is a god of cooking. Who kept us fed with meals from heaven!
-Chris is the Court Jester and team McGuiver.
-Joe is the nicest hard working individual you’ll ever meet.
-Aaron is the Yote Whisperer Extraordinaire, my right hand man, and my sanity when pushing hard for hunters.
-The 6 ARC is a killer. I think every pig/yote shot in the vitals dropped at the shot. I’ll post full autopsies after I edit the data.
-Had some reliability issues with the ammo that I’ll be directing to Hornady.
-The knife that Chris made is the bomb! Sharp as hell and sharpens quickly! A couple of us bled as a result.
-Everyone showed improvement in performance with tactics and implementation from the first to last day. It’s a trial by fire endeavor and they hit the ground running, improving, and performing. It wasn’t a gentleman’s hunt. I pushed them for science and they all did well.

Autopsies and more to follow.

Those are Mardi Gras colors!
And it's a Artic cup.
I have a pair of the 20oz version in that color. When I bought my cooler a few years back, I could get a "regular" color cooler or a "Mardi gra" colored one for the same price, the difference being the Mardi Gra colored one came with the 2 cups. Wife didn't care about what color the cooler was either, so we got the one with the freebies

A) If no one sang "Kill the Wabbit" in their best Elmer Fudd voice. GenX card revoked.
B) I spy with my little eye something from Trail Ohio.
C) A certain bull wishes you would get some female friends.
D) These hunts seem worth the trip for the food only.

Even though all bulls are friend shaped, they aren’t all friends. Like the one we met in the field after dark.
Maybe he didn’t hear we weee friendly. Maybe he heard we were TOO friendly and he didn’t swing that way.
Luckily the tacti-gnome growled at it and ran it off.
100% true story.

Sue the manufacturer! No explicit warning about using said knife on fleas, I see a small camper in your future Zee😂

Regarding distance capability of the 6 ARC……..CPJ dropped a pig facing away at 285 yards from a standing tripod with the 106gr TAP!!!
I was impressed with the results and the shot!!

Man, what a good time. AWESOME group of men!

I was impressed with the 6 ARC cartridge overall. It puts meat on the ground quick, when the trigger nut does the job correctly. All the guns worked well. I was very happy with my 6ARC chassis bolt rifle. Exactly what I was wanting. Not too heavy, very portable, quiet with my suppressor and shoots well. I’m happy with that build. Jerm got to carry and use it quite a bit. So it was cool having another’s perspective on it too. I was also impressed with Joe’s. For an inexpensive build thrown together the night before, that thing was a shooter.

My 20 Practical also performed well. Two coyotes and a jackrabbit. Impressive exits. Ammo was 34gr Dogtown hollow points at a touch over 3900fps.

As a group, all the guys shot very well. With that many shooters and moving targets, there’s bound to be a couple oopsies.. We had a few. But the vast majority of the shots taken were good, clean shots. All these guys can shoot.

Everybody put in work. This was not a relaxing kind of hunt. There was work to do. Ranch work and hunting work. Everyone pulled their weight. And then some, in my opinion. Being the FNG, I felt half worthless half the time… but I still looked to put in work where I could. Just grateful for the opportunity.

I’ve hung out with Zee here and there for years. Never met the other guys in person. Thousands of text messages. I’m glad I had that opportunity. They’re good men I call friends. Something I don’t take lightly. Thank you guys for everything.

If you're gonna dive in to finish off the cripples in sandals, your REALLY should get a matching Roman kilt and gladius.

Joe and Chris did a McGuiver on my game cart. Guess they took pity on us all after two nights of carting 3-4 pigs at a once 3-500 yards across an ag field and killing our backs!

It worked like a champ with a 200lb boar for 500 yards, across a field riddled with pivot tracks!

Yes, I am really pleased with the design and the edge is to die (or bleed) for!!
Other than Chris and I discussing two more locations for ridges. But, I’m a picky bastard.

I’m taking that skull in to euro mount. Never shot a coyote that old. That guy deserves to be remembered. I feel like we helped him out, and he has a history that can be preserved. Definitely unique.

Never gonna happen.
One word: fleas.
Zeds the toughest dude I know. Slightly insane.
But fleas? HA! Watch him freak out when a flea gets on him.
So a kilt with no chonies? Never gonna happen.
