Well, the Lee Longbois do the thing. Subsonic. Single-ish hole groups at 25 yards. That was their requirement. Beyond that is gravy. You can hear impact after the second shot. It’s about 300 yards away
What's the drop at 300?
All of it.
I honestly don’t know. We were just giggling while lobbing bullets at a stump. Don’t think we ever hit it, just the trees around it.

I don't know the particulars for his "long boi" boolots, but the Hornady 190gr Sub-X at 1060fps, 2.5" sight height and zeroed at 25 yards has right at 10ft of drop @ 300yards per quick target

I’d wager it’s similar. Seems about right to what we were holding to get it to hit the trees.
Once soybeans are cut at my cousins I’ll be having some fun with them. Being able to see where they hit and walk them in.

"LOBBING" them is right.
I can't imagine 300 yards with subs

What will surprise you is how much speed and energy they still have at that range
The 190 Sub-X at 1060mv are projected to STILL be going 925fps with 361ft/lbs energy
Only losing 135fps over 300 yards is shocking to me

Well. Science was done.
9 grains of H110 is close to the magic number. Speeds are gonna be a tad fast. So I’ll back off a little. Speaking of speeds, here’s the numbers. Trail boss first then H110.
722
682
639
711
730
703
1109
1046
1007
1067
1071
1002
1004
Groups were shot at 50 yards. I’m very happy with the H110 results. And in reality the trail boss is sufficient for the purpose. But the speed isn’t there. Not sure where the pics will end up but the best group is the H110. Shot from a tripod, it wasn’t the best set up. But it tells me what I need to know. With the h110 loads I essentially have a long and pokey .45 acp.
While I wasn’t really keen on shooting a pig with it, I’m kinda curious now
Well.
I was off on the speed on the previous post.
I’ll run it again.
Edit. Wasn’t off, forgot I had two different loads

Single-ish hole groups at 25 yards.
So I figured that was your zero range.
Using the same 100yd zero you did, QuickTarget puts the drop of the 190gr @ 101" vs the 116" for the 25yrd zero
That 40ish extra grains of bullet weight carries momentum/velocity even better

Even the "fast" load drops 22.6" from 300 to 325 yard, That's getting close to 1" per yard..

Here's QT's numbers using 230gr and the 0.688 BC Bream listed and 1060fps

Sight in 7' above your 100 yard aiming point and you ought to be CLOSE at 300 yards

I looked at the irrelevant "Clicks" instead of MOA
32" high @ 100 should be close @ 300
3' high should put you on @ 325
