Me and that ohio feller were talking yesterday, and he made a great joke.
But, it has to be done in person.

It's been a mostly quiet day out here for early antler less. Should at least make it out for the morning tomorrow. Some early shots close by (people just blast away at anything that moves here) but most of the morning and so far just about all the afternoon has been quiet. Spotted three deer this morning (two that I'm not sure on since it wasn't very light out yet and a 6-8" spike that hung around for about 20 minutes maybe 25 yards away) and so far none this afternoon. I should look into a shot load using the Speer .44 shot capsules for this rifle. Probably could have limited on squirrels today.

Nothing I can shoot at so far. I'm haven't even seen anything yet today. Lots of people in the area just blasting away though.

Driving the UTV around my cousins place, my partner in crime says “what’s that?” Points to the tree limb. “Ummm, that’s a ground hog. “
I’ve heard they climb trees. Can confirm. And they fall pretty quick with a .22 to the head. Wish I’d have got a pic with it in the tree, but I was rushing to get the charger up and ready.

It has been dry down South for the past 6-8 weeks. Quite the opposite of our Spring and Summer.

Yep
We're in the "moderate" drought area, currently, though the "severe" area's getting closer every report

I've seen it a few times. Not that high though. Usually 3-4 feet.
