I wasn't aware of that website but I've always liked Purple Heart. That would make a pretty slick frame.jbp-ohio wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 4:29 pmGo up to Keim Lumber and walk around their exotic wood room. Hmm.
I really don't want to Google it and be disappointed that somebody else in this overpopulated world already did so and will make me feel less extraordinary lol.

It's not just a website. It is a store in Charm Ohio. They have a whole room of exotic woods and they even sell the small cut off pieces for (somewhat) affordable prices for small projects.

I imagine that place is pretty popular with cabinet makers and the like. I wish u had known about that when I was trying to find the proper wood for my plane that I was building. It had to be so many rings per inch and so much slope per foot, etc... It's hard to find aircraft grade wood. Of course I'm assuming that place would have stuff like that. I had to scour menards for quite a while and dig through to find wood that would pass inspection.

There’s nothing like starting the day at 5:30 AM with the sound of your wife running her fat **** mouth.

I had just got out my breakfast stuff and turned on the stove. So I turned off the stove, calmly put the stuff in the fridge grabbed the keys and headed to work.
That’s the smart thing to do.

The last time my wife did that, 2 years ago, I just left for work early and had breakfast at Denny's. She called and apologized later, then she laughed at what I had done.
You always have to love her, you don't always have to like her. Would you believe there are times my wife doesn't like me!

I don’t have to do anything except breath until I die.
Project powdercoat /tempering oven is underway. Out of this mess I’ll need two wires once I add my temperature controller.

You'll be able to powdercoat, temper AND make Hot Pockets. Not a bad deal.

And if you want your hot pocket to be 169 degrees on the gnats ass, I can do it.

Well, a 3d printed "moderator" for my 50 caliber airgun printed in PLA+ sure didnt like a sudden pressure spike of 3000psi. It is no more. Now I'm reprinting it in ASA filament.

See Zorba and CPJ? Facebook isn't ALL bad.....
My mom was quite the prolific canner. And I was a prolific borrower.
She has reached the age where her canning days are very limited, so my wife and I (mostly wife) are taking up the burden ourselves. She is already done with peaches and green beans. Doing tomato juice this weekend. She did a bushel yesterday and got it in the fridge. Took longer than she thought so today I cut up a bushel while she ran them through the strainer on the KitchenAide mixer.
So anyways. She wanted to add some fresh beets and green peppers to the juice. There is a couple nice vegetable stands around but couldn't find beets. I posted on our county board if there were fresh beets anywhere (like the Farmers Market in the Tractor Supply parking lot Saturday mornings). An older couple messaged me and said they had a whole row in the garden they were just going to plow under as they had canned all they wanted.
I went and got the beets and while talking to them I mentioned that I was going to a stand after I left there for green peppers and jalapeno peppers as she is making a batch of 8 quarts of spicy juice.Their green peppers were all done but she gave me a whole Walmart bag full of jalapeno's, habanero's, hot cherry, and a couple ghost peppers. They refused to take any money but we will send them a little something for Christmas.

Marketplace is the only thing I’ll browse. Maybe it’s because I’m not following anyone, but ALL I get is scam crap, or clickbait. They start off telling a story, then you have to click another link to finish.
Naw.
Naw.

I go into 'feeds' and it cuts down some junk. Every third post is an ad but I just scroll by...
Re: The last person to post in this thread don’t get nothing.
That requires the FB App.

Just old people.
Re: The last person to post in this thread don’t get nothing.
A couple weeks ago I saw a squirrel licking the boards on the front porch. I assumed he could taste the salt from this winter?
Today I noticed he started gnawing the boards. He has been removed via .177...... Mr Possum will have a good snack tonight.

Gonna end up using all 48 quart jars we have. Could have used two more.

Had a peak under the petticoat at the sewing machine. Nothing really wrong, nothing really dirty. But it got cleaned and oiled, anyway.
Main issues I was having were caused by a pretty technical issue called “not knowing what the fudge I’m doing”. Watched a video on 3 things that are sure to tangle your machine, I was doing all three.

Did end up making a functional shooting bag with it. It’s pretty wonky, but will work.
