Writer/Shooter Mike Venterino passed away...

Post by Jayhawker »

Yesterday, June 9 from heart related issues...
His book "Shooting Buffalo Rifles of the Old West" is a must have if those particular rifles interest you...

I remember when he duplicated Billy Dixons 1538 yard shot at Adobe Walls just to prove that it could be done...

Rest in Peace Mike...thanks for the wisdom...

Mike had a lot of cool guns in his collection, I always liked his articles.

Even though I didn't share his passion for BPCR, I read a lot of his stuff in G&A because he had a great writing style.
Thanks for sharing, Sir.

He also taught Tom Selleck how to handle a Sharps for "Quigley Down Under."

That is truly sad. The man had forgotten more about old west guns and casting bullets than most of us will ever learn in a lifetime. A real loss to our community of vintage firearms enthusiasts.

RIP sir and thanks for sharing so freely of your knowledge.

WWJMBD?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.
