Marlin 980 DL trigger question

A year or two ago, I posted a Marlin 980DL restoration I did. I never liked the trigger on it and checked it and I checked it today, 6lbs 4oz was the lightest reading. I went to Wolff Springs, but they don't list springs for it. I'd really like this down to 3 or 4 lbs. How should I proceed.

I never got one. Because on the shape it is in I'm. Not sure the rifle is worth it. I know it has not been shot in over 25 years

Find a similar sized spring. Cut it down if needed. Just because it’s not for X gun (or ink pen, stapler, etc) doesn’t mean it won’t work.

I have way more into this gun than it is worth, but it looks good now. I get another pic tomorrow. The trigger has always bothered me. It is 94 degrees outside, so I've been tinkering in the house. I got my MKII repaired, completed the Mauser, and decided to look at this. The trigger return spring looked like a pretzel. I cut a pen spring, and it feels good, but not it won't cock. I'll tinker with it more tomorrow.

I saw the Basix trigger, another $100. I'll tinker with it more!

Get a job that has a 7'Hx4'Wx2'D cabinet in the tool crib that is full of thousands of springs...... not that I would EVER take anything from work.
