I finally found some 209 primers today. I have been looking for 2 years. Bought out Bass Pro. I should have enough for a lifetime now. I can stretch my season a bit this year. I bought a CVA years ago and now I can finally shoot it.

I’ve been finding primers for a long time. $85-$100 for 1,000 seems to be the new normal but haven’t had any problems securing as many as I need. BPS prices are high and they are now selling sleeves of 100. That’s just silly…

209s have been scarce here also. Most everything else is available, but higher than balls on a giraffe. Which is now normal.

BPS was cheaper than midway and most online dealers and I didn't have to pay the hazardous shipping. Paid more than I wanted, but am probably set for life on 209s now. I shoot one deer with the rifle and they are paid for.

That math works for me.

Reality the day you checked, wasn’t the reality the past few years. Unless you checked then. Which is possible.

Haven’t had a need for 209’s but did recently find Remington SR primers for $60/1000 which in today’s market, isn’t too bad.

A friend was looking for shotgun primers over a year ago and they showed them then. Ammoseek is a search engine, not a seller. Someone on this forum turned me on to it years ago when it was called something else. If you're hunting for ammo or components, it's easier to go to one site cause they'll show every little obscure store that you may not know about.
