When you have a can.
Hornady TAP .300 BO subsonic at 10o yards.

I really need to quit hanging around people with neat toys. I’m easily influenced.
Purchased through capital armory, it was a pretty easy process…. even though the whole process is **** poop. In my mind I like to pretend I’m choosing where my $200 butt fudge fee is really going…..but I digress.
Applied on April 30, received yesterday. Did a trust, rumor has it if you’re applying as an individual you get the stamp back in a day or two sometimes.

I'm up to 4 now.
You saw my first for 1 22 cal in TN a few years back.
Form 1 and form 4 30 cals and a dedicated form 4 22 RF have joined the fold since.
The Rimfire lives on my SW Victory 6" and the bolt cycling is LOUD.
FYI, the MUCH cheaper (at least around here compared to the "official" SS version) CCI Mini-Mag segmented HPs average 1069.3fps from my Victory

Every once in a while you can find 190 Sub-x "seconds" for a little less. Though to be honest, I've also seen Midway selling seconds for THE EXACT SAME PRICE as "firsts" So be careful and protect Uranus

If our late friend from Ten Mile TN was still with us, I'd have probably already planned and filed a form 1 for a 50 cal can for the 'wulf.
Other the the, rarely available and stupidly expensive "Bowers" Pretty much all the 50 cals I can find are 50BMG rated and HUGE

Yeah I’ve noticed sometimes the seconds ain’t deals. But midway has kinda slipped in general IMO.
The factory Hday ammo was nice and quiet. What I have left is reserved for critter use. Edible critters I should say. Most of the subs will be the ones I cast and coat, and those will also be used for squirrels (because why not) and other vermin.

I worked down Subsonic loads with the 190s using Li'l Gun and the OLD "Data 2200" which was a serb surplus, but supposedly they've reintroduced it as "Accurate 2200" and the data is the same. I haven't tried any of the new stuff though.
The 2200 is what I'm using now, mainly because I don't use it for anything else and that 8# jug needs to go somewhere

Getting good accuracy and it's not terribly dirty though either mine or the wife's upper or that bad when I take down my form 1 30 cal to clean

My subsonic .300 Whisper (very similar to BO) load is a Sierra 240 gr bullet over 9.5 gr of AA #9. 1040 fps.
