Trees are starting to turn. We are in a mild drought. I don't think the colors are going to be very vibrant this year.

Getting fall-ish here, nights in the 60s, which is perfect camping weather. Days still in the 80s, but creeping down. Summer ain’t dead, but it’s dying fast. Sunday starts archery deer season, it’ll be a great morning, followed by mid 80s.

I'm definitely headed up to the Mountains hiking this weekend. These are the temps only 45 mins from me.

I saw Xmas poop in tractor supply this week. Right beside the Halloween poop.
And candy corn is disgusting.

I don't hate the shorts - I hate the NEED for shorts.
First day here that hasn't cracked 100 in about two weeks, which is nice. The atomic cloud plumes from all the surrounding wildfires - not so much.

I hate winter. Mostly because being diabetic since age 2 has left me with bad circulation and I chill to the bone. On top of that, shivering is terrible when you have lower back pain and it tenses the muscles. All of that combined leads to me being couped up all season with cabin fever which turns into depression. I'd rather swelter any day of the week.

It is a roller coaster here. Last week the temps were in the 70s, this week mid 80s. Night temps in the mid 50s to 60. Trees are starting to change and I really like this time of year, its comfortable and the beginning of hunting season! Winter is not my favorite season but I shouldn't complain too much, my house is heated, my car has a remote start so it is heated and my blinds have heaters. Even after a bad snow storm most of the roads are cleared in hours and all within a day or two. OK I'm spoiled. Now that I'm retired I don't have to go anywhere I don't want to!

Monday started off with a low of 59 this week. It was beautiful weather- But... when I have scheduled to go set up the feeders and blinds this weekend, it's supposed to be 97 degrees for the high.
Typical schizophrenic fall weather in Central TX

While we have cool nights here in Minnesota, fall really hasn’t hit yet. Mid 80’s during the day, that ain’t fall. I prefer 50’s over mid 80’s
