New orleans

New Orleans was an ISIS attack

It has been leaked in several circles there are over 1000 jihadists in the United States actively training and conducting reconnaissance. However, they are leveraging our own civil liberties and laws against us to stay out of custody.

Everyone knows terrorism provides the biggest bang for the buck to advance political and economic interests. Everything includes China and Russia.

I think 2025 will be the year. But, I could be wrong. I want to be wrong..

Just keep in mind Al Qaeda, ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc like to time operations with significant dates.

I don’t know why it’s not happened before. We are wide open as a nation.
It scares the poop out of me.

I'm surprised they haven't targeted certain events.
Theme parks and college or pro sports events would be relatively easy. Target areas with a crowd, say with guns or explosives, start a stampede, and get a lot of secondary casualties.

I'm glad the 9/11 terrorists didn't fly into a stadium or theme park. Talk about mass casualties... What they did was horrendous enough, but to induce sheer terror...

What do the "several circles" have to say about the Somalis in the US?

He deployed to Afghanistan from February 2009 to January 2010. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant at the end of service.

Further reports are he was born in Houston area.

They reported that the truck went through Eagle pass two days ago. No one had tied it to an illegal immigrate as of this morning that I saw.

I’ve mentioned a few time here that on two occasions in the last year I went to big gun shows in Las Vegas and Phoenix and they were mobbed by non-English speaking military age men with wads of cash pulling carts buying/loading every piece of Tac gear, plates and every 80% AR and Glock lower, parts kits, ammo and uppers and slides they could get their hands on. Not just Latinos, LOTS of orientals…. Do with that info what you will.

The truck was rented and had passed through Eagle Pass in November.

My son said he read where the truck used in New Oleans and the Cybertruck that blew up in Las Vegas were both rented using the same app. I don’t remember the name of the app

I just checked and there's a cybertruck on Turo locally.
A 3 day rental for this weekend is $261 not incl tax and fees
Here's the pertinent part (I think) of their insurance statement
All trips are covered under a third-party liability insurance policy issued to Turo from Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company (“Travelers”). The Travelers policy provides secondary (excess) coverage for third-party liability unless primary coverage is explicitly required by an applicable state statute (e.g., Maryland and New York). Liability coverage is typically the minimum amount required by law, except in some states and at some airports that require additional coverage. For New York trips, the liability coverage is $1,250,000. Protection plans also come with 24/7 customer support and access to roadside service, subject to additional terms, conditions, and costs described here

Yep, I know how Turo works. My Son in law has a classic ‘68 Grand Prix that he rented on Turo a few times to try it out. It’s actually going to be in a movie that was filmed here in Vegas this summer.

Insurance coverage is byhrough Turo but you still have to go through the hassle of dealing with the insurance company, the police questioning, replacing the Truck etc. If that was my truck I’d be REALLY PISSED…

If it was MY truck, I wouldn't be renting it to any yahoo who waved some $$ in front of my face.

Concerning vehicles in movies, the best man and mine the the Mrs' wedding has had a couple of his restored military vehicles used in some (3-4?), his '52 deuce and a half and his '54 Willys are the 2 used in movies.
I want him to get his M29 Weasel running but he's more worried about his '54 Dodge ambulance

I wouldn’t rent my personal Jeep either but they own 7 cars between the two of them and they saw a potential business opportunity and some tax deductions they need so they gave it a try but ultimately decided against pursuing it. I know a guy who’s making a killing here renting 6 R-8s he owns on Turo and he swears by it.

Funny thing is I was doomscrolling through Tubi before Christmas and came across Invasion USA. I had no memory of the movie other than had Chuck Norris, guns, and he kicked asses with Karate. All things my young child's mind thought were the best. As I was watching I found myself thinking that this movie was more prescient than I ever thought an 80s action movie could ever be. Remove the over the top action macguffins, and the duel uzi wielding Florida Man, and you have a reasonable plan of attack. If one were to refine the premise and target the attacks appropriately, it has all the elements of a possibly successful concept.

As for Al Qaeda/Isis/Hamas/Hezbollah loving significant dates, they also seem to love sensational events. At least here in the US they do. I have said to my wife many times how glad I am they have this mind set rather than a dug in disruptive/attritional plan of attack over time. Imagine two person teams similar to the DC shooters operating throughout the US.

I just deleted the entire outline of the plan I fear rather than give any specific ideas. I leave it up to you to worry how two person teams making varried types of attacks every few days could effect our sense of security and our economy.

Like CPJ I can not believe it has not already happened, and it "terrifies" me.

and now Las Vegas, Excerpt from this morning's daily mail:

The bomber who blew up a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has been identified as Army service member Matthew Livelsberger. Although officers have not publicly named Livelsberger, 37, as the bomber, senior law enforcement sources confirmed his identity to KOAA and KTNV. Livelsberger served over 19 years in the Army - 18 of which were spent with Special Forces, according to his LinkedIn profile. His current role was listed as a Remote and Autonomous Systems Manager, which he had been in for just three months.

He is suspected of renting the Cybertruck in Colorado Springs, via the Turo app, and driving it across the border to Nevada on Wednesday morning, stopping at various charging stations along the route. Law enforcement sources revealed that Livelsberger, who died Wednesday in the explosion outside the hotel, had previously served at the same military base as New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar. Police have not confirmed if the pair were known to each other.

Not everyone Sean Ryan has on is legit. But, as SEALS go, Sean is a pretty good dude.
Sarah is a someone that everyone should listen to when she talks. Especially in matters of Security and terror. Her analysis and ability to read the tea leaves is almost unmatched

The body is stainless steel. DeLorean already proved the stuff can travel through time. I'm sure a little firework damage will buff right out.

1,000 jihadists ARE here. The attacks have started and Isis is only the front. New Orleans was just the first.
