Had a pretty good dusting in Austin last night. Here is how far the dog made it this morning when I let him out:

Ron we didn't get much snow from this one but it was -15 this morning. I had trouble starting the feed pickup and never did get the tractor started. I didn't want to start either.

I saw that there's 8 1/2 inches in Milton, which doubles the record.

The pigeon-sized mosquitos are dead. Quitcherbitchin.
60-odd miles east of L.A., it seems to try to snow on us about once every 3-5 years. It might stay on the ground overnight, but we never get what you'd call "coverage". We actually had that the last two years running. This year, dry as a bone so far - note the fires. Maybe rain this weekend, with lows plunging into the high 30's. Rough.

Canada causes all bad winter weather, snow, ice, car wrecks, snow scooping heart attacks, flat tires, school closures, frozen pipes, boot leaks, and roof damage

That’s a cruel trick/naming convention played by New Yorkers.
