Did some annual training with a group at church and shot at 7-10 yds off hand with some moving drills and here are the results. “U” shaped rear sight took some getting used to, did not like my astigmatism, the 13 and 15 round magazines need to be seated hard, had one fall out

, no failures to feed, eject, or fire with 100 rounds of 115 gr FMJ Blazer brass, magazine release could be bigger, probably just needs more breaking in

Looks good. How is the trigger on yours?

It took me a couple magazines to figure it out, I was shooting to the left at first, once I figured out the reset and got my finger in a good spot on the trigger the groups improved, most shots were double taps. I can put my Lyman trigger gauge on it tonight.

Not bad at all for a first run with the gun

I should add I did not bother to clean or lube it prior to the range time.

A good drill, determine your furthest inside distance. For example, one corner of the sanctuary to the other.
Shoot that distance with no time limit and then with a time limit. See how you do.

Solid little guns. Snappy as hell for a mini 9, but solid.
I'm really not sure what's up with those U-notch rear sights either. Not a fan, but the good news is that if it's set up as a backup with a low-witness arrangement with a red dot, the U-bend portion of the notch is effectively squared out by the deck of the red dot.
Or. . .just replace the damn things.

No option on my slide for a red dot, do you see any preferences for replacing the rear sight Bigslug?

We know a guy that could hook you up for a red dot by sending him just the slide

Wife's gun, she would have to try an optic before doing that, needs to warm up in a couple months and I can see who has a gun with an optic to try.

I don't think I have a gun with an optic cut on the side, I will have to check a couple around the house.
