......and others who shall remain nameless, a bug was put in my ear. I took the initiative and bought a CZ 457. I've yet to shoot it (probably tomorrow) but here is the photo anyway.

Leupold 4.5-14 X 40. I lucked out on the scope, I've had it for a while and needed a place to put it. Good excuse, Huh? Rings are CZ for the 11mm dovetail on the receiver. I'll see how everything works out, manana.

]I've got some SK, but tomorrow I'm going to just get it on the target. On my Cooper LVT, Federal Auto match in the bulk box have always shot pretty impressive. I'm just going to shoot ground squirrels with this rifle, so I'm not going to get too crazy with the ammo. After I saw your rifle, I got hyped on these CZ's and this rifle is really nice. What I like is the attention to detail on this CZ457. I'm a sucker for checkering, and on this rifle it is very tasteful. I good friend has a saying, "22 LR are the cats of the firearms world" I'm beginning to believe him.
Thanks for helping me in this direction

One thing, though, the regular bulk Federal hollow points really put the whomp on a ground squirrel.

Yes they do! I used my kimber as the ground squirrel rifle for a couple years. When id go to my folk’s place in Montana we hit the hay fields with squirrels and go to town. Good times!

I liked the checkering on that gun too.
I have a hard time not picking up stray cats but at least they're cheap to feed.
