This has been circulating the internet for a few years. Other agencies have banned them as well.

Five years old, but the best take on this whole thing - ever

"I had to do unspeakable things" pretty much sums up the whole boondoggle.

Hah, I remember those hitler scenes.
I'm too lazy to look for another bed side gun so the P365 it remains.

Is the P365 a problem? I love that little gun. Just bought one for the wife and I’m actually thinking of buying another one with the milled slide for myself. I can actually run that sucker more accurately and faster than my Glock 48.

Apparently/allegedly not.

It had... different teething issues. Like strikers breaking.

Yep, I remember that one but I believe this was addressed a few years ago. I don’t remember any going off without someone pressing the trigger like it’s bigger sibling.

True. But not firing is a pretty big deal.

I wish firearms companies would stop using customers as beta testers.

The P365 never had the A.D. issues of the P320, but like Bream says, different teething issues.

The sense I had through the whole things was of a company resting on its 1980's/'90's P226 laurels, touting itself as the "Mercedes Benz" of duty pistols, while neglecting to spend the money on a couple pallets of ammo to wring out these teething issues without allowing their customers to experience the brunt of them.

Sig seems to be in a similar place where Remington was with their 700 trigger - they're too committed to the platform to admit they may have a problem.

I dunno. . .a light-ish trigger, a striker that's cocked when the pistol is at rest, and no kind of trigger-blocking option at all. This does not seem like a wise way to run a railroad.

I tried to get one to AD and it wouldn't/couldn't do it because of the safety detent in the slide. It won't lift if the trigger isn't depressed.

My personal conspiracy theory is that the only reason Sig hasn't phased out the P320 and gone full in on the P365 "chassis" is because of the government contracts.

Ok, so as long as the P365 has not developed any new issues that I was not aware of, I'm good. Going to put wife's through its paces as soon as she decides which optic she wants. Amazing I can make a decision in minutes on anything gun related, she thinks about it like she's shopping for shoes...

P320 is making a splash again with the gun tubers. Apparently DJ Shipley has come out strong in favor of it, and is getting hammered even by his fan base. He has called it All BS but is also a paid spokesman for Sig. I don't watch his stuff. Not an indictment just an observation. It is funny how he says "until I see.... while there are videos showing just that. Shouldn't be that hard to find for those interested.

PS I don't think I will be carrying a 320 appendix anytime soon. :o

The problem is a moth or so ago Sig started a social media campaign stating “it ends today”. Discredited all the reports of guns firing at will, called those who said ither wise anti gunners.

Well, they never met the internet. They got ROASTED.

And last week, they updated their WWW with the owners manual saying not to carry a live round chambered.
I’ll find the videos. It’s priceless.

I saw that.

Our guns are perfectly safe but maybe don't carry it loaded. Priceless

One guy was showing how easy it was to move the drop safety and showing how loose the frame and slide lockup is. His speculation being this is where the touble lies.

Summation: they don't just go off sitting on a shelf, but through regular movement it causes the slide and frame to jostle about and the safety being wiggled just the right way.........bang.
