I'm surprised no one else has mentioned him being found dead in his home yesterday, along with his wife and one of his dogs.

News reports are calling the circumstances, "suspicious"

I enjoyed quite a few of his movies, with my personal favorites being "Uncommon Valor" and "Unforgiven".

RIP and thanks for the entertainment.

Superman: "Is that how a warped brain like yours gets its kicks - by planning the death of innocent people?"

Lex Luthor: "No. . .by CAUSING the death of innocent people."

One of my favorite movie "spitting coffee" moments.

Sounds a lot like a carbon monoxide or other airborne compound. Apparently, they'd been lying in place long enough for some decomp / mummification to occur. Not sure how that delay is going to affect the autopsy results.

Having trouble wrapping my brain around the idea of him being 95. RIP

RIP Little Bill. I was just a young kid when I watched The French Connection in a theater and I was just blown away by the movie. He’s been one of my favorites ever since.

I think I like Hoosiers best. Unforgiven was just about perfect. He really was great.

Someone said Hackman was like Nicholson. You can ask multiple people their 5 favorite films, they woumatch, but they would all be great.

Wife and I decided it was a stay in bed western movie day since we’ve been running ragged all week. So we started with Unforgiven in his honor. We then moved to Appaloosa, a western that has been underestimated by many and never got a lot of attention but is a great movie. Took a break for a bit and now we’re headed to either Crossfire Trail or Quigley Down Under to close the evening. All starting actors that are getting to “that age” and we’ll too soon lose probably.
