Barn find truck

Not me but my fishing buddy. And while it's not a "barn" find, it sat in the yard of his son's wife's parents. What it is is a 2016 Dakota 4x4 with 24,000 miles on it. Gunky on the outside and it has a leaking fuel pump and a dead battery, once the battery was replaced it started right up. Very clean on the inside, dirty outside. Maintenance records included. The FIL is a wealthy guy and ownership of the truck may be nothing...too early to tell at this point.

If it's a 2016, that's RARE since the Dakota was discontinued in 2010

Nice
Im looking for something similar with zero luck.
I want anything that I can rebuild if necessary and that is not “connected”

That’s pretty cool. An almost 20 year old truck with only 24k miles is a nice find!

Yep - pre iPhone vehicles are skyrocketing in value as there are lots of folks who don't want the computerized crap.

Stone axes are a crutch for your bare hands.

When auto manufacturers make more profit selling customer surveillance data than the margin on the main product I can no longer participate.

I had a 2002 Dakota I put 300000 miles on. It was a 4.7l, 5 speed manual. Great truck. Change the oil on time, regular maintenance. The factory clutch lasted to 20000, so did the first set breaks.

This one had a V8 four wheel drive. The mechanic at the shop where it was taken actually washed it, without being paid to do so. It cleaned up beautifully. Why can't these super good deals come to me?
