Was out looking for my cat 2 days ago and there was a coyote in the road at my driveway. I shined my light on him and he stood their watching me, as I walked toward him he walked a few feet and stopped to watch me again. He walked a little farther then into the field across the street and laid down still watching me, at this time I figured it was time to go get a gun.
I went in a grabbed a nine mm and when I got back to the road he was gone but then saw glowing eyes a little further out in the tall grass so I shot in his direction, eyes disappeared but then another set popped up about 30 feet to the right, shot again and same thing only this time glowing eyes came up about 50 feet to the left. After that no more eyes.
I think it is time to get a night scope and put an end to a few of these critters, they are getting way too bold.

Another option, if money's an object, either a green or red "varmint light" paired with a regularly scoped rifle.
Might not be as good as a NV or thermal scope, but not as expensive either

I do have some unexpected expenses right now but will see what I can afford.

Anyone have recommendations on a night scope.

ATN scopes work, but as soon as they discontinue, or upgrade a model, they no longer have parts or service for the older model, "Sorry, we don't carry parts for that model anymore. We can sell you a newer one though"
So not really a fan

Yeah, and they offer an "upgrade". Send us your Gen1 X-Sight and we will knock $50 off your next purchase of a $2000 optic!
Uh- for $50, I'll put it on a pellet gun. No

How about a $700 Micro thermal sight?

For less expensive (comparatively), Iād look at AGM. Do NOT recommend ATN at all.
On the cheap, a good light is the easy way to go. As mentioned above.

Looks like AGM might be a good one on a budget, thank you.
