Aero Precision had a sale a week ago. I couldn’t resist another Solus Chassis. So, I ordered a 15” one.

Put it on my 16” .308 w/ 8T barrel. Feels amazing and handles exceptionally well. Not positive on the scope it will wear yet. But,it’s got a 3-9 Leupold TS-30 A2 on it currently.

It will also wear a Surefire Can, of course.
The Shoe Store also gave me my new tool for the sales floor.

Accuracy International AT
16” .308 Win 10T
24” 6.5 CM 8T
Leupold Mk 5 3-18 H59 Reticle
RAPTAR-S
Shot it today out to 700 with the .308 barrel. Was able to hit a 2” steel out to 600 yrds. At 700 the wind was squirrely. 6” steel was good. But wither way, it handles well with the short barrel. Next week, I’ll try the CM barrel.
Gotta get the SilencerCo brakes off and replace them with Surefire Brakes so I can run my can.
Overall, I’m pleased with both new toys. Very pleased.

Very nice, did you have any input or was the work gun a surprise?

For those of you that like to pick on poor little Zedrick because of his size... Think about how much smaller tech has gotten over the years.
He was over 6' after the original rebuild. Unfortunately, for him, as the tech's gotten smaller, so has he

Yeah. Lucked into this one over a friends grill in his backyard in Montana. Never knew it was an option until he put it in front of me.

I tested the AX for a year. Then, they came out with the AT. Same action. Just better chassis.

Most jobs give you a series of longevity plaques. When they give you a top-end bolt gun instead, you must be doing something right.
Keymod slots on the mag well? I'm sure they had a purpose in mind, but my immediate response is "WTF?"

I'm interested in your sling setup on the floor sample gun. Seems the sling ends are attached on opposite sides of the gun. Purpose?

I'm fairly certain thats the same chassis my buddy just got and put his 416 into. It's really nice especially for the money and fits perfectly. He's gonna have to get some rear spacers to make length of pull though (and the weighted ones are $60 per 1/4") when he needs 2.

First, it’s not KeyMod. Looks like it. But, it’s AI’s own proprietary version.
They are on the mag well so you can add a two round holder for single loading.

Having the sling attached to the opposite side of the butt stock pulls the rifle into your body. Otherwise, in positional shooting, it will always try to roll away from you and you will have to use your shooting hand to pull it back in.

I’ve been handling that 16” rifle in the Solus Chassis a lot to day. That has always been my favorite .308 rifle. Now in this new chassis…………yeah. Next level of love.

This is the first group out of the Accuracy International AT. I cleaned the barrel, lapped it, bore sighted. Fired one round that was high, adjusted. And fired this three round group at 100 yards.

He's got it on the correct side for a wrong / righty shooter.

For when you've watched the Benelli reloads from the
John Wick 2 catacombs scene and said, "I may have to do that with a bolt action someday. . ."
That 3-18 M5 looks like the Pure-D shizzle.
