Well, I’ve started…..

With the passing of my mother in law the end of June; and helping my wife deal with her estate, I’ve realized it’s passed (past?) time that I start cataloging my guns. We’re also about to update our 30 yo wills.
I have begun to write down each gun and serial # in a notebook listing who gets each one. I’m also writing a brief description of each gun and where, when, price and any other information pertinent to each gun. I’ll include this in my will once it’s completed.
The pistols weren’t too bad. I laid them out on the dining room table and just sat there and picked one up and started writing. I’m not looking forward to the long guns. They’re hard to get in and out of the safe. Particularly since we’ve now added my father in law’s gun to my safe for safekeeping.
I also need to use this to update the gun rider Inhave on my homeowners policy. I KNOW that list is not up to date.
