My dad came down for my nephews wedding this weekend. He brought me a wonderful surprise with him, his Martini in 218 Bee! I can’t wait to get it out! Everything aligned too, Hornady just released a new batch of brass this week. It was his pasture gopher rifle. Love it

NIIIICE! Interesting how they cut away the receiver to facilitate loading with the optic up top.
Voice of experience as one with a .32-20 / .310 Cadet Magnum - converted Martini - - buy lots of brass. The guns are STOOOPID fun!

I have 100 cases coming from Grafs ordered yesterday and dad said he has another couple hundred new Winchester cases. I should be good for a while!

Is there a story behind the "Commonwealth of Australia" stamp?

The rifle is built on a martini Henry cadet action and stock. These rifles were originally Australian rifles. Dad bought it already a 218 bee an age ago.

Very cool gun and chambering
The 218 bee is a cartridge I really know little about.

It’s a sub 200 yard varmint cartridge. The Bee is a benched down 25-20 (32-20) to 224 so it uses standard bullets. I may locate some 22 cal gas checked cast bullets to shoot it in it.

What a cool gift and piece of history. I especially like the simplicity of the action. I'll keep that one in the memory bank.
