Range report for my new gun

I got a new gun a few weeks ago. I have been trying it out since, and am now ready for a report. It is not really a ccw as it is very large. They don't make a holster for it you just hang it on the belt. It can fire multiple calibers out of the same platform. Capacity ranges from 50 to 100 depending on projectile choice. So far no failed to fire or chamber. Penetration has been excellent in all instances except 1. Toe nailing it leaves a 1/4 exposed. It can fire hundreds of time on one charge. I have now used it to build rabbit hutches, and am starting on the new chicken coop. Would I recommend the Ryobi 18volt framing nailer? Absolutely! If I were a professional framer no. There are better faster more powerful versions, but as a professional contractor I wouldn't hesitate. Longevity may be of concern, but only time will tell. It is so nice not having to drag the compressor out to the field with hoses and a generator. This thing is a joy. As to the toenailing issue I am using 3 inch ring shanks. Smooth shanks would probably sink right in. I look forward to using it on the 2nd phase of the deck I am starting in Sept.

My son just got me a finish nailer which I can still use quite a bit but I don't know enough about cordless nail guns to know if it'll accept larger nails. If so, that would be even better. Maybe I can build a whole deck

You mean you haven't turned and milled an adapter for it yet?

A finish nailer will not accept framing nails. If you want to build the next deck you will have to pony up for a framing nailer if you want that option.

You are correct sir.
I started as a carpenters apprentice 30 years ago. I have used the hammer a few times. I have been out of the game for years now. This is all for me. Makes my life easier.
