Just added some additions to the security for the farmstead.

They will be strictly outside cats and fed sparingly in the evening. We need them hungry for the mice and other pests. The kids are happy as clams with the addition.
I must confess I like the colorings. Both girls.

Pretty! Wife is deadly allergic to cats so we can't have any in the house (which is fine, we're both dog people) but we've had quite a few barn cats over the years and they are AMAZING at keeping the homestead free of unwanted vermin.
Funny, we used to get ours in the mailbox. People assume that if you have fencing and horses you are the perfect place to dump kittens by the boxful...

If they don’t perform, they taste good as well.

Cats are better than dogs.
Ever wonder who loves you more...your dog, your cat or your wife?
Lock them in the trunk of your car for 10 minutes, when you let them out, see which one is happy to see you!

I like both cats and dogs. We are looking at getting some Ridgebacks in a few years. They are pricey though.

We always had 6-8 cats on the farm when I grew up. A strong Tom and momma cat will keep the population in check. I was the only one who could pet all of them.
I wouldn't want outdoor cats (or small a dog) in this county. Way too many coyotes and bobcats. See reports on FB regularly of people losing pets.

We do have coyotes on the mountain. We also have hawks, owls, and who knows what else. The kittens stay very close for now. I am trying to get the coyote control project up and running, but some big dogs are probably a better bet.

We have a lot of coyotes in our area, just heard that they have a hunter in an helicopter after them now.
