Crossfire Trail is one of my favorite westerns ever. I probably watch it a few times every year and I just got back from the engraver. Been meaning to do this to my Centennial for a while and finally found the right guy locally.

The movie gun

And now mine. While I was there I asked if he could do one of my knives to match the gun too and he said, yep!

Thank you! Even the wife said wow when I showed it to her. Guy said the engraved part will patina really nicely on carbon steel. The laser engraver is a trip to watch working. Serious machine!!! A lot of the β€œhobby” lasers do shallow stuff. I asked this guy how deep he could go and he said clean through this plate!!! 😬

Thanks! Laser engraving, zero chance of screwups and my tip of the hat to new technology if it’s done right. This dude’s work is amazing!!!

And a little more than that! Wife and I have been exploring to find a suitable place for our hopefully permanent location which will hopefully be bordering BLM and/or National Forest land and include a few horses. I really don't see any more moves in our future so this is IT! Just went to a little community not that far away and it was so cool to see that every house had horses AND even saw a wild horse wondering the streets of the community!!! Also checking out BLM mustang and burro auctions so I can rescue a couple of mustangs and train them right from the beginning. I'm too old to take on and try to fix other people's mistakes so I've been getting our saddles and other tack cleaned up and ready.

I also just joined SASS again so I'm getting all my gear ready. Really cool that of them that once they assign a member number to you they hold it forever so I got my old number from decades ago and there are several active clubs around here so I'll be shooting matches again come fall when the temps break. My membership card just came in the mail.

So I'm going back to the best times of my life that were interrupted by this adulting crap I don't need to do anymore...

that is a superb Peter Bromley knife.
Az Custom Knives usually has several of his works in stock though he is in Spokane.
