This time with a RDS equipped Ruger Charger. Just got my Vortex RDS installed and dialed. Great buy for $80 on close out.

Groups at 25. One click right, one click left. Center lies between. Because why would it line up dead center?

50 yards. It was a BEOTCH seeing a 1” circle at that range. So I colored in my squares to give me something bigger for aiming.

I’ll take it, no better than eye could see. The small group of 3 is just proof you can pull shots the right way. It’s not indicative of a good shooter. Just good luck.

Let’s move to one hundo. Pretty tough to see the 2” square, but got it close-ish. Low, of course.

Then on to the most difficult target in the world for a .22 At 100 yards, the pop can. Very tough to hit. Basically impossible.

Needed a quick and janky way to hang it, so I used a pipe clamp and some strategically bent up all thread. I’d have used some nuts and washers, but alas I hadn’t any.

Full disclosure, I slapped that paper behind it to give myself a reference. I hit it without that, but wanted to give myself something consistent. I “carefully calculated” where it should be based on how much drop it had, and proceeded to miss 15 times. Gave it a scientific wild ass guess (SWAG) and nailed it. Figured out my holdover, and proceeded to whip its ass.

Which, is totally within the rules. Rules stated one could use a .22 that’s sighted in for 100, and it would still be tough. Naw. Naw it’s not.

Here’s the video.

You can’t shoot a pop can at 100yrds with a .22lr.

You lie!!

One could have printed a photo of a pop can to actual size on an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet and shot it @ 100yds

Next time i go to the outdoor range Im going to try it with the Ruger MKII. If Jerry M can hit a balloon @ 1000 with a 9mm revolver (hand held) one would think mere humans could hit a pop can @ 100

You forgot about Dan's rules. First shot, no warm up or practice, just get out of the truck and take one shot. No tricked out stuff, high powered scopes, or fancy rests. ButtJerms are allowed. When we all tried it, only one person hit it, and we know who that was.
