Ankle surgery

I got my left ankle operated on this morning. I injured it about 6 years ago but had just started a new job and couldn't have it looked at. I had a shattered area that has grown a lump that has been giving me problems. The growth was larger than the surgeon expected but the operation went well. I''m no weight bearing, foot boot and on crutches for two weeks then a foot boot for four more weeks. Once I get this healed I have a benign growth (Neuroma) removed from my right foot. This may interfere with my dear hunting but my partner said he'll get me in our stands no matter what!
It will be nice to walk without pain and limping from foot to foot.
In between these I have a colonoscopy scheduled......
Getting old sucks!

It may suck, and it isn't for the weak. But, it sure beats the alternative.

Agree on the first two points. The third depends on the situation. Was working in heavens waiting room (nursing home) yesterday. If I was in some of their situations, I WANT TO DIE. Crapping my pants and not knowing where I am? No thank ya!

There have been many times in my EMS and nursing careers, where the prayer, "Dear God, please let me die before I end up in this condition" has crossed my mind.
There's a HUGE difference between "Living" and just "being alive"

I would reschedule that colonoscopy if I was you. Foot surgery is a crap shoot, hope you get full function back
