I broke a lens cap on my Vortex Sparc II optic....so I dropped an email to Vortex...in less than a week, I had two new lens caps and a hat, with no charge to my credit card....

I installed a 3.5 lb drop in trigger from Rise Armament in the new AR I was building..The trigger came with anti-walk pins...however there was a missing screw...so I fired off an email, got a same day response apologizing for the missing screw...and they overnighted a new set of pins...

Pretty nice to have this kind of customer service

Vortex has top notch customer service. They pay for it by way overcharging for a huge segment of their product line, and betting on the average buyer not using the product enough to need the service, but if you actually put their products to use and need the service it's great.

Good CS goes a long way. I was completely ghosted by McGowan on the bad barrel blank they sent me. I would have settled for an apology only.

Some companies don’t think they are ever wrong. I had an issue with a pistol lanyard I bought from a top tier pistol smith company, it was crap with cardboard inserts inside the slide knots to keep the knots shape. It got wet and the cardboard dissolved, and so didn’t the glue holding the loop in place. I called to complain and get a refund and was chided for even complaining about one of their products. I continued and told the proprietors that his products actually get used and that this lanyard was horrible and not up to what it’s designed to do. He called me “overly inflexible” and asked me not to do business with them over a Pakistani woven crap lanyard…/
