Behold; the Beast!

Just bought my 7th. Chesapeake and will be picking it up next month. I still have number 5 and 6. Number five is 14 1/2. She's still working with good nose and eyes but the ears no longer work. Number 6 is six years old and the Auntie of number 7. The one with the pink collar is the one I chose. Six girls and two boys in the litter. I have first pick which was a very difficult task as they are all first rate pups. I had my eye on two after watching them for a while which were a little more adventurous and inquisitive than the others and showed signs of picking up toys. At this point they were just around four weeks old. I then sat down among them and the one with the pink collar came up to me and made the choice for me. I call Chesapeake pups 'Babe Magnets'. Just stand holding one and it's amazing where the women appear from!

I have decided on Holly for a name. This is the old dog on the left called Bramble and on the right is the pup's Aunty called Beatie.

Beautiful! I’ve always wanted one but unlikely to happen anymore. Great breed!

Great dogs. Great characters and very versatile. I use them for all types of shooting and deer tracking. One I had was a brilliant rat catcher too.
