Not a Trump fan

So Trump gets mad at some cattle groups about his policy on raising imports and tweets out about it is all him that made the market go up and we (cattle producers) should be thankful for the lower prices. The CME was limit down on Friday and again Monday and down on Tuesday. A sale barn that has a sale on Mondays reported this Monday prices down 30 to 50 a cwt. I figure so far I am down $300 a head. I am selling mine December 4 who knows how low they will be by then. Jimmy Carter pulled the same thing in the 70s but at least I didn't vote for him. On a side note boxed beef prices have went up so guess who is making money.

There’s a way to be a good leader without being an arrogant prick. DJT doesn’t posses such an ability.

It was on the Pensacola news that the high cost of beef is because there is a shortage of cattle in America.

No. Everything is great. Uncle Don told you it’s great. So it’s great. And you should be thankful it’s great. Because it’s great.

For lord business, everything is awesome. He is now above the law and making literal billions off being president.

I haven't been here for a while and I am sorry I only come here to bitch but I don't do any other social media and I am so mad tonight I need to vent somewhere. I tried to send an email to my local house rep. but every time I hit send it kept rejecting it and I was even calm. I have been frustrated at Trump over many things but there were good things happening also but this last one has pushed me over the edge. I know these high cattle prices won't last but I thought they might hold for a couple of years and I could pay down some debt and maybe quit my part time job but I don't think that's going to happen. He opened up the border so we can import the screw worms and that knocked down the market but that apparently wasn't enough so know importing beef. I am sure if this doesn't have the desired effect he will do more. Screw Trump.

I've over Trump. Things were wonderful for about 3 months after he got in, then he did a 180 and is no better than any other RINO or neocon, and worse than most. And he's still a Christianist on top of it all. At least he isn't from Commiefornia, that's the ONLY quasi good thing I can say at this point.

And whoever sells this foreign beef in the US will not price it cheaper than what’s being sold today. They’ll just pocket the profits. Meanwhile the American farmer will continue raising less and less beef.

I think they will sell it cheaper to a wholesaler and then them and the retailer will mark it up. The consumer won't see a change but a few companies will make a lot. On Friday the futures didn't fall like I expected but a cattle on feed report came out on Friday also and cattle placements were down 11% from a year ago so that was pushing the outlook higher. I will have to see what next week brings.

You can’t force smaller farmers to sell to big factory farm conglomerates, without making them more miserable.

It’s a great big club, and you ain’t in it.
