One year on the Falken Wildpeak A/T4W tires...

After running my 34" 285/70X18 Falken Wildpeaks A/T4Ws for a year I thought it was time for a review. I've put about 10k miles on them, a fair amount of this off-road since I have great trailheads just a few miles for my house it is not unusual for me to quit "work" early and head out to the desert to play and since I do not commute to work, this vehicle actually spends a lot of time out just for fun. Every once in a while I do take it for a long highway trip like my summer trek through Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. And I run the Jeep between Las Vegas and Phoenix (about 500 miles each way) to visit my son every few months. I've run the Gladiator comfortably to 90+ MPH on the highway without any hesitation or feeling of lack of control at high speeds and 80s is very common.

The tires are everything I hoped and more, and 34" is a nice sweet spot for the Gladiator with stock suspension even though I added a 2" leveling kit mostly for looks (I do not like, or need, pickup truck rake) because the tires never rubbed in actual use. They behave great in dirt, sand, rain (yes it rains here occasionally here) and snow. They are also nice highway tires giving a smooth quiet ride comparable to the original LT highway tires that came with the Gladiator, and the stiff sidewalls make them surprisingly nimble around corners.

I'm happy to report no cuts or missing rubber and quite frankly there is very little appreciable wear on the threads. All in all these tires were a great investment! I highly recommend them!

Sounds like you found a good match. One would think that they would be loud at speed on pavement

I've yet to meet anyone who ran AT4Ws who had complaints. That might be my next set.

Same here and the online reviews have all been good. This is what made me go with them.

My ‘son’ runs those on his 4Runner and loves them! When the Kumhos on my FJC wear out, I may get some myself…
