Happy Festivus
Happy Festivus
For the rest of us.
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain)
Re: Happy Festivus
I have a lot of problems with you people, and now you’re gonna hear about it!
“The shepherd slaughters more of the flock than the wolf ever will.”
Re: Happy Festivus
I like Burl Ives, "Oh by golly have a holly jolly Christmas, drink beer."

Hanakwanzamakas?
I think I need to lobby for the creation of a Federal holiday on which the assorted "pagan" folk with no stake in the various religious events or martyred social justice warriors take the day off to show their appreciation for the various religious events and martyred social justice warriors who get them roughly a dozen paid days off throughout the year.
Maybe we can call it "Holidayday", and plug it into April or August, where we don't really have any paid holidays yet. Who's with me?

I believe we should stand on Ceremony. . . while our friends handcuff the sanctimonious little prick and take him away.

It's Coca-Cola Santa and presents. Don't need to mix religion in if you don't want to. Unless it's South Park.....Bigslug wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:04 pm Hanakwanzamakas?

I hugely appreciate you taking pity on the flatlander that was out of breath every 50 feet... AND my wife LOVES that gift from you and Sako. That damn stone is basically sacred to her now.

Re: Happy Festivus
In the last few years as I get older I have learned that airing grievances is useless. I have zero time or tolerance for it. I simply try to just have unemotional/factual conversations with people that I care about on subjects that matter so they can get resolved. If they can't be resolved then I make an assessment. If a person has more positive impact in my life that negative agree to disagree and they stay. If the reverse is true they fall off the list. Keeping it simple... Wife and I have adopted this as our mutual MO and we have not had a "fight" in probably over 10 years now.

Basically boils down to spending 400 bucks on a hat or gun stuff. The stuff usually wins the argument
