Bob Weir passed away recently. An original Grateful Dead member. Another bit of my culture is gone. Mexicali Blues, Truckin, and covers on the skull and roses, all of American Beauty among the favorites

Never was a fan to speak of. Just wasn’t my thing back then.

I love the Grateful Dead, from a distance. I liked quite a few of their songs and they were an integral, actually pretty prominent, part of American. culture and music, in that order actually. But I was never part of the lifestyle that followed them and while I understood it, could never accept it.

In any case his passing is the culmination of a heck of a life! May he RIP

The Dead were always part of my background soundtrack. Never a primary in my musical taste, but like Ozzy, always there.

Getting to the point where the Gen X'ers are becoming the old guys. This feels weird.

Yeah my 50th high-school reunion is coming up this year and I’m getting the invites with current pics of the folks I went to school with. Seeing in person what’s happened to those hot little girls I had crushes on might be more than I can bear 🤣
