Get 'em while you can. The second the Democrats have the majority again we'll see the tax stamp come back, AND adjusted for inflation.

I agree. I’m wondering how supply will hold up to the demand these next few years.
And, think about this. Adjusted for inflation, $200 in 1934 is approximately close to $5,000 today. When it was put in place, it was intended to make it unaffordable to most people. That’s exactly what will happen when it’s put back in place, IMO.
Buy ‘‘em now.

Majority in Congress alone won't do that. Bill would have to be signed to become law...

Supply will soon swamp demand when everyone with a lathe gets into the suppressor business. And folks with 3D printers figure out that with the right filaments they can print and register their own for like $20. I’m just going to sit tight since now that I have address that merits it I’ll be getting just about every FFL they offer. I like my toys legit.

To that point, registering half a dozen or so lowers as SBR seems prudent.

There are two crappy points to registering an SBR. If you are aver taking out of state, even if temporarily, you have to notify the ATF in writing. Also unlike a pistol you can not have an SBR in the car with you loaded or concealed since most states prohibit carrying a loaded rifle n the car. Sale believe some states prohibit concealed carry of a rifle outright. Silly since I can carry my folder 9mm AR “pistol” in a small daypack but my same sized 5.56 is a problem.
The first issue is a PIA if you travel. The second is trivial since if I ever need a loaded SBR on my lap or concealed in the car, local laws will be of little significance.
Still good to be aware of such things.

The “good” news of what is the great boofooing of citizens is that now you can file electronically to ask if it pleases the crown when you take a shortyboi out of state.

Never really heard about not being able to transport a loaded rifle in a vehicle (discarding places like CA, MD, IL, etc.) Certainly not an issue in the free Southeast.

Just checked. You can in Arizona and New Mexico but it’s prohibited in Nevada.

So, I understand from this thread that suppressors are now legal to buy without having to provide your own vaseline and bend over?
Sounds like a win for you guys!!

No.
They only removed the $200 tax. You still have to register them and go through the **** to acquire one.
