Who all is in the path of this weekend's "Winter Storm?"

looks like the models have most of the bad stuff going north of us in Central TX, but it looks like there are some areas that are going to get absolutely hammered by ice as snow.

We are prepped with the generator, good stockpile of food, camping gear for cooking, propane, books, remote controlled cars are charged (one of the favorite activities in Ice storms), battery backups, etc...

Just like your mom, we are expecting 8-12”. And colder than a well diggers ass.

Single digit lows, teens for highs. Sunday is minus fudge this degrees for a low.

Depending on the flavor of frozen precipitation and the amount, I intend on heading to the cousins place where my camper is setup. Fart around in the woods and hunt what’s in season.

Tuesday the weather-guessers were calling for up to 2" of ICE here. Yesterday it changed to "Lots of cold rain"
Today they're saying there a chance of wrap around snow Sunday night
Calling for near single digit lows and sub zero windchills Mon and Tue morning.

Have friends and family in the path.
With all the ice I and they are worried about power
Heavy ice always brings down power lines, either by the ice or falling limbs.

Hope all affected get prepared

Its the middle of summer here...mild winds, temperatures in the 24-34 deg celsius range......and some sun showers expected when its cloudy...

So we get this... https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/north-isl ... IJYHE4K5U/

Interestingly, in view of the amount of rain I drove up to make sure the charter boat was secure in the river. At low tide the river was 1m above the highest tide we have had in the last 20 years......and its stayed that way for 36 hrs over 3 tides....

North GA expecting 1-2" ice. I doubt it because I invested in a whole house genset a year ago and will likely never lose power again.

As someone sheltered, I can't wrap my brain around the idea of Christmas during the Summer over there.

Forecast says around d 1” ice/sleet here. But, we’re in the edge of the boundary where they’re expecting up to 3” of ice/sleet. I hope we don’t get an inch but we are waaay past due for a bad ice storm.

My son boss says they were told today that this could end up being the worst winter storm in the last century. That’s for the Tupelo,MS area and approx 60 miles north of me.

That ice on the inside is what my dinning room windows used to look like before we had the new windows installed last year.

Not much we can do because of the foot traffic, warm air hitting cold door, cleans up pretty quickly if the door stays shut, been busy
