Saw a cmmg 16in bbl and 22lr rig for sale at Brownells. Kinda have wanted one for a bit so I pulled the trigger.
Thread protector Sherluk Defense
Charging handle Midway
PSA had blem upper receivers for 60 bucks
and a 15in handguard on sale at AR15discount.
I had a Leupold 1" mount and a 3x9 bushnell that has been gathering dust for I dont know how long. Likely to be replaced.
I sighted it in off hand in the driveway in snow, 9F and real bright sun. Its in the ball park at about 25 yds. I held about a 1.25 in group zinging a few in after I was close. I think it will be good, just wasnt going to dig out the range or hang out much longer.

BTW, don't discount that scope yet. It is easy to change the parallax on those Bushnell's. Basically get a spanner wrench (or improvise, you have skills) and move the objective slotted lens carrier by screwing it in/out to focus on the distance you're most likely to be shooting just like you would an AO scope. The direction of travel shortening the parallax is anti-clockwise. I've adjusted a few to 50 yards for rimfire use and it's a great use for inexpensive scopes. There are YouTube videos on how to.

To late
Simmons 3x9 -32 rimfire scope. 77 at the World of Wal. As per some rimfire shooters I know, they are in the realm of Pretty Ok. Fixing the objective wouldnt replace the missing parts. Its a good scope to sit in the safe in case of need though.
