There’s an app for that. Knot tying app. Well worth the $5. No reoccurring fees, no BS ads. For both iPhone and not iPhone. Pretty intuitive, has 3d animations of each knot that you can slow down or speed up.

If you despise the smart phone thing, you can check out the channel
on the Tubes of You.
There’s a playlist with knots, he has other outdoorsy type content as well.

The app has over 230 different knots, and after the first use or so all of them are stored on your phone, NOT in the cloud. So you can use it in BFE with no signal.

I used to say they made ratchet straps for me, specifically. 😬

I’ve got a few handy cam roller things for 550 cord. Work awesome.
But I’m trying to learn some good knots. I’m the old guy, I need old guy skills.

I've spent over half my life in, on and under the water. Knots are an essential part of all thing marine, fishing and diving so my repertoire is pretty good. Still I will take a look at the app. Always good to learn something new and the price is right.

Nice app
I use sundry fishing knots and in younger days rewoven figure 8 for climbing. There are always the quick way to tie my favorite is a one handed double inside bowline learned that one a long time ago and used it a couple times

Here is one to try

Tie your boot lace opposite handed
This relates to shooting, being right handed and left eye dominant it helps to do things left handed to be able to switch up the dominant eye. It will be challenging tying a boot lace opposite handed. For extra credit close your eyes while tying

The most useful knot I ever learned from an experienced sailor was a Flying Bowline. You can tie it on any line that's handy in a BIG hurry when you come up to a dock and realize you don't have a dock line with a loop handy.

Interestingly, I just got back from BFE - literally. Look up "Siwa Oasis". While I unfortunately cannot say there were no PHOOOOOONNEs there, they certainly weren't present in anywhere near USA levels. They haven't managed to destroy the local culture there as YET. No kids had one that I noticed, and many adults don't either. It was very refreshing.
