It’s always about money, always. The article I read said it dated back to the end of the civil war and the south wasn’t paying tax on all the booze they were cooking… shocking right?

Yeah the government could care less about that, if they did tobacco would have been shuttered years ago. Money, it’s all money!

Ironically the antidote for methanol poisoning is ethanol. It binds to the methanol and chelates it form the body. Its near impossible to get so much methanol during distillation that it causes a problem.

Maybe we can go after Tobacco next!!! Hefty taxes on cigars for no good reason.
