DIY deer feeder

Post by jkp »

We have a home in South GA that backs up to a large tract of land. I'm looking to feed the deer in a low profile, simple to build feeder.

Any solid ideas / proven designs? I like the simplicity of the feeder below but might want something with some shelter since it can be pretty wet here.

Here in MS deer feeders are required to have a top/cover. May need to ck GA regs.

Empty molasses tub with holes drilled in the bottom.

Use them every day for cotton seed and protein.

I have 6 tubs out by feeders. Fill them every day as needed.

The deer at my lease will roll around and use the pig pipes we put out. But then again, the raccoons, pigs, roadrunners, and dove do as well
