Where's Snake when you need him? We'd never live this down. The Bear still ran! The Bear that charges my son was drt with a 450 marlin.

This is just more evidence the round is good for women and children to use.

We used to simply give 9mm's to the women and kids because it was an effective round they could handle.

Now the grown-ass men are putting comps on their 9mms.

Whatever this phenomenon is, perhaps the .270's arrive in the 1920's was an early symptom?

It's very possible WW1 wiped out a lot of the "manliness gene". . .

GI’s lugged around a 30-06 Garand all through Europe, pacific islands and Asia during WWII so it was still present then.

Between this and the guide killing the Grizzly with a 9mm, I think a new breed of man is being defined. Try and keep up boys. Go get yourself a puffer vest and embrace modernity.

I've been saying "screw modernity" for years. Not sure that's the same as "embracing" it.

I have a puffer vest, but if I want to stay warm while doing something I grab the wool vest. T shirt, long sleeve shirt, wool vest , hat and a silk neck rag I’m good down to freezing. I may have a poncho if I’m just sitting around….🤣

This made me nostalgic. There were some right funny .270 posts back in the day, and snake never missed a chance to jump to it's defense and be a punching bag for a bit.

Does anyone know what happened to Snake?
There was a day, I almost bought a .270 because of him

I was friends with him in FaceBook before I got banned. Now I can’t remember his name so I can’t friend him again. He seemed to be doing well with his latest imported Philippine wife last I heard from him.

"The bear ran away after being shot and fell into a ditch.''

Fell down laughing from being tickled by the .270 i.e...... tickled to death.

When I was in Alaska an old woman shot and killed a big grizzly with a .22lr rifle. I don't remember how long it took. Save her dog I think.

It’s no fun to pick on the .270 Winchester without Snake around. Not the same.

He convinced me to buy some .223 bullets he loved. I got some of the 70gr speer semi Spitzers cause he loved them so much. Reviews were good and the price was good. Been sitting unloaded for over a decade lol. I don't know if they are the shiznit or what, but he was very profuse in his love. Been going back and forth on whether to use a 30/30 for this year's deer season, or the .223. Might get around to loading those and giving them a go. Of course they also might sit another decade.
